The name of the application for my thesis has change from “Legendary Quests” to “Troll-Me-A-Story”
Why? After reviewing the multitude of games on Facebook it has been found that a name like Legendary Quests would get buried whereas a name like Troll-Me-A-Story would be more memorable and stand or from the crowd. It also sets up the expectations for the users right of the bat. With the word “troll”in the title the user knows that there will be a combative mindset of the players as they pull hijinks on one another within the application. Also the word story helps the user understand that they will have more control on the story telling instead of the game system determining their paths.
The title change also helps define the art style direction. Below is an example of the stylization of the characters.
Overall the title change is good step in getting this application to stand out from the rest of the drudgery games in the social sphere. The name is memorable and fun.
