These past nine weeks have flown by with doing research for the new direction of my thesis and creating a prototype to demonstrated how the visual portion would work.
Since I am still doing research a revised draft is not appropriate at this point since more research needs to be done.
However I would like to point out that this is only the beginning and I know full well that there is more information to uncover in regards to interactive stories and the different ways that people communicate through social media when it involves games.
My goals are to uncover those nuggets of details while investigating and doing competitive analysis of those social games while also taking notes of the target audience that they cater to within the social sphere.
With the first prototype it became apparent that the more simplified the interface then the less confusing the user paths would be for the user. Notes have been taken to implement these new suggestions from the critique such as moving the links about and help to the footer of the page and keep only what is necessary in the navigation bar. Also have a simplified user dashboard for the user so that they can choose to either continue their story, manage their profile or manage their team. In the first prototype many of those items were jumbled onto the user profile page when really it should be a simple launch point for the user.
The mid-fidelity prototype was to start addressing the look and feel of the application. It is still being worked with and will be finessed over the next two quarters. https://foxglove1028.proto.io/share/?id=1591374b-f7c4-41e3-99fe-d5aace5f6492&v=1
